Our fleet of fully equipped rigs are optimized for your directional crossing needs. Based on the drill path design, we select the most appropriate rig, considering the thrust-and-pull-back, rotary torque, pumping capacity and tooling requirements of your crossing.
All of our rigs are equipped with the latest directional drilling technologies and in order to operate 24/7 in any conditions, are regularly serviced and maintained. This enables us to match the right rig to the project, for maximum efficiency and cost effectiveness.

Areas of Expertise
• Gravel and Boulders
The people at Direct have the extensive experience in casing installation and cleanout. Considerations when using casing include depth of unconsolidated materials, casing diameter, casing wall thickness, hammer requirements, and clean-out tooling.
• Buoyancy Control
Experience with doing buoyancy control with and without internal liners. Buoyancy control is often required on larger diameter pipes to reduce the effects of the positive buoyancy while the pipeline is being pulled in. Calculations are done based on pipe and drilling fluid weight.
• Cold Weather
Experience with drilling in cold weather conditions helps us to ensure continuous operations during the winter months 24/7.
• Environmental Sensitivity
Direct is familiar with working with companies that have highly sensitive environmental concerns. Our in house environmental program can be merged with any Owners program to exceed industry standards.
• Accuracy
Extensive experience with projects that require tight tolerance in steering to maintain trouble free crossings.
