Health & Safety Policy
Direct Horizontal Drilling Inc. is committed to protecting the health and safety of its people and the natural environment in which they work. This includes all company personnel, contractors, suppliers and any other visitors proximate to Direct Horizontal Drilling Inc. properties or job sites.
Direct Horizontal Drilling Inc. will adhere to all current acts, regulations and rules of the jurisdictions in which we operate.
Personnel at every level are responsible and accountable for the companies overall Health, Safety and Environmental initiatives. Complete and active participation by everyone, everyday in every job is necessary for the Health, Safety and Environmental excellence the company expects.
Direct Horizontal Drilling Inc. supports participation in the program by all personnel and provides proper equipment, training and procedures. Direct Horizontal Drilling Inc. personnel are responsible for following all procedures and, wherever possible, improving Health, Safety and Environmental measures.
Direct Horizontal Drilling Inc. will not create unacceptable new risks to the environment and will strive to minimize risks from existing environmental conditions. Direct Horizontal Drilling Inc. will also strive to minimize the quantity and degree of hazardous wastes resulting from its operations.

Training
Training is paramount in all company operations as it assists in ensuring that equipment and personnel have the right tools and procedures to carry out any task safely.
- Pre-employment Orientations
- Construction Safety Training (CST)
- On-the-Job Safety Training
- Formal Industry Certification Training (H2S Alive, Standard First Aid w/ CPR, Etc.)
- Wildlife Awareness Training
- IRP # 16 (Basic Safety Awareness Training)
Rig Inspections
Utilizing industry guidelines and practices, Direct Horizontal Drilling Inc. performs detailed rig inspections on all company working equipment. In conjunction with the company Operations Management, Field Superintendent, Rig Managers, and the HSE Manager, Direct Horizontal Drilling Inc. warrants that inspections are completed methodically and systematically during predetermined time/date intervals.
Procedures
Currently, all company policies and procedures are updated and reviewed for effectiveness to current company drilling operations. The procedures that are implemented into the company program are a group effort between field personnel and operations department.
